Kishimoto Medical History Museum opens at the Graduate School of Medicine

Osaka University opened the Kishimoto Medical History Museum at the Graduate School of Medicine to help visitors learn about the history and current endeavors at the Graduate school of Medicine and Faculty of Medicine in an easy-to-understand fashion, holding the opening ceremony for the museum on April 17, 2023.

This museum was established as part of a project to celebrate the 150th anniversary of medical education and training at Osaka University through the help and support of Professor KISHIMOTO Tadamitsu (former Osaka University President/current Specially Appointed Professor, Immunology Frontier Research Center).

医学系研究科岸本記念医学史料館がオープンしました

Rooted in the spirit inherited from Tekijuku, a place of learning established by OGATA Koan in Osaka during the Edo period, the Graduate School of Medicine has contributed to the development of medicine and medical treatment for Japan and the world.

In the exhibition room at the museum, you can see fundamental medical research conducted based on the understanding of essence of life phenomena, as well as latest achievements of medical treatment, beneficiaries of research outcomes.
