Futuristic and Intellectual Co-Creation Town Division newly established in OTRI

The Co-Creative Incubation Center of the Institute for Open and Transdisciplinary Research Initiatives (OTRI) has promoted activity for its project “Futuristic and Intelligent Infrastructure Model Center” since it was selected for the COI-NEXTprogram [Regional Co-Creation Area, Nurturing Type] in December 2021.

*COI-NEXT Program -- Creating a Sustainable Society via the Formation of Independent, Sustained Hubs for Industry-University-Government Co-creation

On April 1, 2023, the Co-Creative Incubation Center was selected as the Futuristic and Intellectual Co-Creation Town Center for the COI-NEXT program [Regional Co-Creation Area, Full-Scale Type]). To proceed with this project, Osaka University recently established the Futuristic and Intellectual Co-Creation Town Division at OTRI.

With this project management structure, Osaka University will ensure continuous and self-sustaining operation of the Incubation Center, putting cutting-edge technologies to good use, and creating the future through the use of ingenuity of early-career researchers.
