OU ranks 3rd in THE Japan University Rankings for second straight year
On March 23, the Times Higher Education (THE), a British magazine reporting on news and issues related to higher education, announced THE Japan University Rankings 2023", with Osaka University ranked 3rd overall. (In 2022, OU tied for third place.)
THE Japan University Rankings assess university performance with more focus on education. Osaka University advanced in rank in educational outcomes (evaluated based on an academic reputation survey of HR persons at research institutes and companies) and educational resources (evaluated by finance per student, scholarly output, and research grants per member of staff) than the previous year.
We believe that the rise in rank is attributed to our efforts in educational reform and they were highly evaluated again.
