Graduation Day: Congratulations to the Class of 2023

To all new graduates,

Congratulations on your graduation.

The 2022-23 Osaka University Graduation Ceremony was held at Osaka-jo Hall on March 23, with 5,838 OU students starting a new journey as graduates of Osaka University.

Last year, attendance at the ceremony was restricted to graduates only, but this year, two guests were allowed to accompany each graduate. Those who could not attend in-person were able to view a live stream of the ceremony, just like last year.

The ceremony was held in a solemn atmosphere to celebrate the new graduates as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

Experiences during the pandemic -- studying, extracurricular activities, sports, encounters with your teachers and friends, and pleasure and worries -- will all mature you as a person.

You will all walk different paths in life -- start a new job, enter graduate school, or head in an entirely new direction -- but no matter which path you choose, Osaka University will be there for you.
