The title of Osaka University Distinguished Professor granted to two professors

Osaka University has awarded the title of Osaka University Distinguished Professor to the following professors:

• AKITA Shigeru (Graduate School of Humanities)
• IKEDA Fumiyo (Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences)

The university established the title of "Osaka University Distinguished Professor" in the 2017-2018 academic year in order to increase motivation of its faculty members and secure outstanding individuals who support university management.

The ceremony for the granting of this title was held in the President’s Office (Suita Campus) on Thursday, November 24, where the title recipients received commemorative plaques from President Nishio.
