Final decision about whether In-person Open Campus Events for the School of Foreign Studies is a 'go'
Three tropical storms approaching the Kansai region may affect in-person Open Campus events for the School of Foreign Studies to be held on Saturday, August 7.
The decision as to whether the event will be held will be announced on the website for the School of Foreign Studies . (link in Japanese)
１ . Weather policy
If a "storm warning" [boufuu-keihou] or "emergency warning" [tokubetsukeihou] (*) for Minoh City or any region to which it belongs is issued, in-person events will be cancelled.
If a warning is announced after reception for an event has begun (about 20 minutes before the start of the event), events following that one will be cancelled.

Example 1 : If a weather warning is announced after reception has begun for the 9:00 block of events, the 9:00 block will be held as scheduled, but the 12:30 and 15:00 blocks will be cancelled. Example 2 : If a weather warning is announced after reception has begun for the 12:30 block of events, the 12:30 block will be held as scheduled, but the 15:00 block will be cancelled. |
*Make sure to also confirm the details listed in "2. Resumption of Events after Cancellation for Weather Warnings".
*Authorities issue an emergency warning when life-threatening disasters, such as heavy rain or snow, earthquakes, tsunami, and storm surges, are happening or imminent.
2. Resumption of Events after Cancellation for Weather Warnings
Events will proceed based on the following schedule in case of cancellation for weather warnings:

If the weather warning is still in effect after 13:00… |
All events will be cancelled. |
Note: Confirmation of lifting of weather warnings will be conducted via television, radio, and the internet.
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, you may not participate in any in-person event during a time slot for which you have not made a reservation. If your event has been cancelled, you are encouraged to join Open Campus events to be held online from August 10~13, 2021.
