Donation from Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. for COVID-19 Vaccine Research and Development at Osaka University

Osaka University will receive financial support in the form of a 250 million yen donation from Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, Inc. for research and development of a COVID-19 vaccine.

COVID-19 continues to be a source of great unease for society, especially after the emergence of mutant strains of the virus.

Osaka University will meet the demands of society by utilizing this donation to elucidate the immunopathology of the virus, including that of its mutant strains, and support the research involved in vaccine development as well as the researchers themselves.
