Follow-up on illegal access to OU’s Residence Reservation System (RRS)

With assistance from external security experts, Osaka University investigated possible information leakage due to unauthorized access to the university’s Residence Reservation System (RRS) last December.

The investigation has determined that information of those who used the university’s accommodation facilities/dormitories, including information from before the RRS began operations, has not been leaked from the RSS server, although there was unauthorized access to the system.

The university once again extends its sincere apologies to all concerned for any inconvenience or concern caused by this incident.
