Request for all-out cooperation to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and OU’s COVID-19 response levels as of August 11, 2020
Amid the nationwide spread of COVID-19, requests were made based on the Osaka Prefecture’s yellow alert on July 28.
In these circumstances, Osaka University will thoroughly implement good infection control practices to prevent the spread of the virus.
The university will maintain the current activity levels outlined in the Osaka University's COVID-19 Response Levels in order to implement its effective prevention strategies beyond August 11.
We ask you all to continue your efforts to prevent the spread of the virus with the following requests in mind.
• Practice social distancing, wear a
face mask, and wash your hands to prevent the spread of the virus. Individuals who are unwell and experiencing
any symptoms should refrain from coming to school and receive a medical
examination.

current infections have largely occurred in situations like group dining and
drinking events, we ask that you refrain
from dining/drinking in large groups.
Osaka Prefecture
has requested that its citizens refrain from dining/drinking in groups of 5 or more.
When eating or
drinking with other people at a table without a transparent plastic panel, sit
diagonally and limit conversation while eating.
• Reduce contact with people via working from home, staggered working hours, and holding online meetings.
• Extracurricular activity should be held with sufficient measures in place to prevent the spread of infection
• Continue your efforts with Requests based on the Response Policy at the Yellow Stage (Warning) in mind.
