Regarding the “Emergency Financial Support Program for Students’ Continued Education” by the Japanese government

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has recently issued an advance notice on the “Emergency Financial Support Program for Students’ Continued Education.”

Facing diminished incomes amid the COVID-19 pandemic, some students have difficulties in continuing their studies because they are unable to work. In this program, students (including international students) who are making an independent living by working part-time will receive ¥100,000 each, while students from low income family will receive ¥200,000.

Osaka University is currently preparing to begin accepting applications for this program.

More details will be provided on KOAN and the OU’s official website at a later date.
