Regarding the 2020 Entrance Ceremony

The entrance ceremony and orientation session scheduled to be held on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at Osaka-jo Hall has been cancelled in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

New students and their families were no doubt looking forward to celebrating this brand new start together, but in order to prioritize the health and safety of participants, the university has decided to cancel this entrance ceremony and orientation session. We kindly ask for your understanding regarding this decision.

A message from the president to new students will be posted to the Osaka University Official Homepage on Wednesday, April 1, so please be sure to view this message once it has been posted.

Osaka University is looking forward to welcoming its brand new students and will do its very best to ensure their health and safety during their time at OU.

Osaka University will post announcements regarding plans for events scheduled to be held on and after Thursday, April 2 to its official homepage, so make sure to check back for more information.
