Osaka University and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry team up to hold the "Ideathon for Scientific Innovation by Young People Under 40"

Osaka University’s Innovators’ Club, which is active as a venue for entrepreneur education, teamed up with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) to hold the an ideathon for scientific innovation by young people under 40 at VisLab in Umeda’s Grand Front Osaka on Saturday, December 7.

In this ideathon held by ELPIS (Engineers and Leaders Picture Innovative Society) composed of young employees at METI, from the Kansai region, 44 individuals  involved in scientific innovation, such as students, young researchers, individuals involved with venture businesses, corporate researchers, and financial personnel, discussed policies for dealing with an aging society as well as challenges and solutions in businesses toward 2050, by which time Japan’s population is projected to significantly shrink.
