“Multidisciplinary PhD Program for Pioneering Quantum Beam Application” selected as MEXT’s 2019 WISE Program

On August 9, the Osaka University’s program “Multidisciplinary PhD Program for Pioneering Quantum Beam Application” was selected to the 2019 WISE Program (Doctoral Program for World-leading Innovative & Smart Education) sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

The WISE Program aims to cultivate outstanding individuals with doctoral degrees who can take leading roles in various sectors and to create hubs for continuously promoting human resource development/exchange and joint research in order to promote graduate school reform.

Forty-four projects were submitted from 29 national, public, and private universities, with 11 projects from 9 universities selected.

The schools and research institutes noted below participate in this program to sustainably develop human resources that will take the initiative in creating applied technology of next-generation quantum beam in cooperation with the top-level universities, research institutes, and corporations at home and abroad.
