Superstar Students! Award Ceremony for the 20th Presidential Awards for Extracurricular Activities

The award ceremony for the 20th Presidential Awards for Extracurricular Activities was held on Monday, July 22, 2019. Presidential Awards for Extracurricular Activities have been awarded to recognize outstanding extracurricular activities and invigorate and improve student extracurricular activity participation since their inception in 2000.

28 nominations were received for these awards, including 7 from sports-oriented clubs, 8 from culture-oriented clubs, and 13 from other groups and individuals. The awardees were selected as follows:

1st place, Women’s Epee Singles, 54th National-Public Universities Fencing Championship

Sports Chanbara Club

1st place in Kodachi (short sword) fighting, Choken (long sword) fighting, and Two-Handed Choken fighting competitions in the Men’s Rookies Division, as well as Men’s Rookies Grand Champion of the National Sports Chanbara University Tournament
