3 OU professors win 2019 Commendations for Science and Technology
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) announced the recipients of the 2019 Commendations for Science and Technology. From Osaka University, three faculty members received awards. One faculty member was awarded a Prize for Science and Technology (Research Category); two were awarded Young Scientists' Prizes commending them on their ability to develop advanced research.
In order to motivate those individuals working in the fields of science and technology and contribute to the improvement of science and technology in Japan, MEXT awards the following prizes:
- Prize for Science and Technology (Development, Research, Science and Technology Promotion, Technology, Public Understanding Promotion)
- Young Scientists' Prize
- Prize for Creativity
