Announcement of Results of the 2017-2018 Osaka University Future Funds Undergraduate Research Support Project

On May 1, the Independent Research Workshop of the 2017-2018 Osaka University Future Funds Undergraduate Research Support Project was held in the Assembly Hall of Osaka University Hall.

This project was started in the 2015-2016 academic year to raise students' awareness to "independent learning" while cultivating the ability to see the true nature of things as a part of cultivation of human resources that can thrive in a global society. By utilizing its strengths as a comprehensive university and recruiting students across the boundaries of its 11 undergraduate schools in a wide range of fields, 39 research projects were selected across Osaka University in the 2017-2018 academic year, with each group performing research for nearly 6 months.

At the Independent Research Workshop, 10 groups were chosen to present their research results from each of the undergraduate schools represented.
