Professor INOUE Katsuro selected to receive the 2018 Distinguished Achievement and Contributions Award in the Field of Information Science and Technology

Professor INOUE Katsuro of the Graduate School of Information Science and Technology was chosen to receive the 2018 Distinguished Achievement and Contributions Award in the Field of Information Science and Technology from the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.

The Distinguished Achievement and Contributions Award in the Field of Information Science and Technology is conferred to individuals and groups for their remarkable achievements in the informatization of education and research and development in the field of information for the promotion of informatization in education, science and technology, sports, and culture.

This award was established in the hope that recognition by the minister will facilitate further informatization and increase Japanese people’s awareness and understanding of informatization.

The award ceremony will take place on Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Tokyo Shoken Building.
