OU ranked #1 in Nikkei Glocal's "University Regional Contribution Rankings 2017"
The results for Nikkei Glocal's "University Regional Contribution Rankings 2017" (published by Nikkei Inc.) have been announced, with Osaka University taking the number 1 spot.
This survey ranked universities using a "regional contribution index," which rates universities on their society-university collaborations, industry-university collaborations, as well as their global human resource development.
Under the motto of "Live Locally, Grow Globally" and with roots in Kaitokudo and Tekijuku, Osaka University was established in 1931 through the support and passion of the people of Osaka and since then, the university has continued its efforts under the principle of contributing to society. OU strives to be a leading innovative university that contributes to social change, and the university will continue to implement lasting efforts moving forward.
