Professor Emeritus SHIBA Yoshinobu (Graduate School of Letters) and Professor Emeritus MATSUBARA Kenichi (Institute for Molecular and Cellular Biology) were selected to receive the Order of Culture, and Professor Emeritus MURAI Shinji (Graduate School of Engineering) and Specially Appointed Professor SAKAGUCHI Shimon (Immunology Frontier Research Center) were selected as Persons of Cultural Merit.

I'm extremely pleased to hear that Osaka University's Professor Emeritus SHIBA Yoshinobu (Graduate School of Letters) and Professor Emeritus MATSUBARA Kenichi (Institute for Molecular and Cellular Biology) were selected to receive the Order of Culture, and Professor Emeritus MURAI Shinji (Graduate School of Engineering) and Specially Appointed Professor SAKAGUCHI Shimon (Immunology Frontier Research Center) were selected as Persons of Cultural Merit.
