5 OU professors win 2017 Commendation for Science and Technology
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) announced the recipients of the 2017 Commendations for Science and Technology. From Osaka University, five faculty member received awards. One faculty members was awarded a Prize for Science and Technology (Public Understanding Promotion Category); four were awarded Young Scientists' Prizes commending them on their ability to develop advanced research.
In order to motivate those individuals working in the fields of science and technology and contribute to the improvement of science and technology in Japan, MEXT awards the following prizes:
- Prize for Science and Technology (Development, Research, Science and Technology Promotion, Technology, Public Understanding Promotion)
- Young Scientists' Prize
- Prize for Creativity
