President Nishio holds lecture at the Osaka Branch of the Research Committee for Domestic and External Affairs

On Tuesday, January 24, Osaka University President NISHIO Shojiro held a lecture entitled "A New Challenge at Osaka University: From Industry-University Collaboration to Industry-University Co-Creation" at the Osaka Branch of the Research Committee for Domestic and External Affairs.

Representatives from various influential corporations which are headquartered in Osaka are members of the Osaka Branch of the Research Committee for Domestic and External Affairs, including the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local branches of central government agencies, and financial institutions. This event saw some 250 individuals in attendance.

During the lecture, President Nishio spoke passionately about the direction of Osaka University and industry-university co-creation, the new challenge of strengthening collaboration with the industrial realm as the university gathers attention regarding the role it should take in the development of the region through human resource development and industry-university collaboration.
