Osaka University and Panasonic to Begin Joint Collaborative Course in Artificial Intelligence
Joint Collaborative Course in the Field of Artificial Intelligence the First of Its Kind in Japan*

*According to a survey by Panasonic Corporation (June 21, 2016)

National University Corporation Osaka University (President: Shojiro Nishio, hereinafter referred to as Osaka University) and Panasonic Corporation (President: Kazuhiro Tsuga, hereinafter referred to as Panasonic) announced the start of a joint collaborative course in artificial intelligence between the two entities to cooperatively develop human resources for artificial intelligence technology and its business applications on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. This joint collaborative course in the field of artificial intelligence between a university and the industrial realm is the first of its kind in Japan.

This course will begin on June 22, 2016 with a test curriculum aimed at technicians from Panasonic. In addition, from April of 2017, this course will provide a curriculum for students from Osaka University as well as members of other companies and universities that support this initiative.
