Osaka University Research Abroad/Visiting Scholar Programs chosen (First Half 2016-2017)
Osaka University Research Abroad Programs and Osaka University Visiting Scholar Programs aim, through joint authorship of international theses and establishment of international joint labs, etc., to increase opportunities for conducting international joint research projects at and by Osaka University. Furthermore, these programs aim to improve the quality of OU research for promising research projects by supporting plans to send OU researchers overseas and accept overseas researchers at OU research labs. The programs listed below have been selected for the first half of the 2016-2017 academic year (projects set to begin between June and September 2016). Applications for the 2nd half of the 2016-2017 academic year (programs set to begin in October or later) are now being accepted.
Support Details
Osaka University supports travel costs and costs of living for projects of Osaka University researchers who will perform research abroad at overseas institutes as well as those Osaka University researchers who take in visiting scholars from overseas to perform research at OU.
• Research Abroad (Short Term): up to 1,000,000 yen
• Visiting Scholar (Short Term): up to 1,500,000 yen
