Early voting station to be set up on the Toyonaka campus

Following a request from the Toyonaka City Board of Elections, Osaka University has decided to set up an early voting station in Osaka University Hall. (OU possesses a comprehensive cooperation agreement with Toyonaka City.) Locating this voting station on the Toyonaka campus will encourage young people to take part in elections and increase voter turnout.

On the two days before an election, it will now be possible for OU students, faculty and staff living in Toyonaka city to cast their votes at this voting station. This service will be available for prefecture and city elections to be held this spring.  (Absentee voting will also be available.)
