The event started with President Toshio HIRANO's speech entitled "From Tekijuku to the World Tekijuku." President Hirano spoke about the goals and dreams that Osaka University hopes to achieve. His speech was followed by talks by other executives: Kiyoshi HIGASHIJIMA (Executive Vice President) talked about education; Fumio OHTAKE (Executive Vice President), about the financial situation, Office for Osaka University Funds, and the Alumni Office; Tadashi SHIMODA (Vice president, Head, Center for Education in Liberal Arts and Sciences), about liberal arts education; Yoshinori IWATANI (Advisor to the President, Committee Chair, Student Life Committee), about student life. Following their talks, a question and answer session was held.
