Osaka University's quarterly, Osaka University NewsLetter , #64, has been published. It contains information about advanced research and students activities, and other topics concerning Osaka University. Faculty, staff, students, and alumni are strongly encouraged to take a look at it.

The cover of the current issue features a Machikane crocodylidae robot, about 3 meters in length and made from Lego blocks, near the Nakayama Pond.

Other contents of the magazine included:

A talk between President Hirano and motivated researchers at Earth and Space Science, Graduate School of Science and the introduction of researchers who are engaged in natural, cultural, and social sciences on a global stage.

Interviews with two graduates -- OSHIMA Akira, a first-class architect and graduate of the School of Engineering, who was introduced as a craftsman in a TV program and OISHI Kanoko, a graduate of the School of Law who was once selected as the Woman of the Year by the Nikkei Inc. (Nihon Keizai Shimbun).

"Seeing first-hand" -- students' visit to a theater-style office at Kokuyo Furniture Co., Ltd.

"Alumnae & Alumni" -- presentation on Research Results of the Extracurricular Research Encouragement Project and activities of cheerleaders in entrance ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, and sports events.
