Connecting campuses via internet video conference system

Osaka University has started delivering lectures and other educational content between its several campuses using an internet video conference system. Thus, the Suita, Toyonaka, and Minoh campuses, the Nakanoshima Center , and the Tokyo Office have been connected through the internet in such a way that individuals can view lectures and other educational content at their nearest venue. On April 21, the lecture by President Toshio HIRANO in the Future Talks was broadcast on a trial basis to 3 of the above-mentioned venues, making it possible for student, faculty and staff members located elsewhere to view it.

Osaka University plans to broadcast symposiums and seminars using this system and is considering expanding it to include its overseas centers in North America, Europe, East Asia, and Southeast Asia.
