Entrance Ceremony for incoming Graduate and Undergraduate students held

Heartiest congratulations to all the students entering and advancing on at Osaka University and to their families!

Osaka University held its 2014~15 Entrance Ceremony at Osaka-Jo Hall on Wednesday, April 2. Osaka University welcomed 3,510 undergraduate students and 2,894 graduate students in the first entrance ceremony this year by a national university in the Keihanshin area.

On behalf of the assembled students, undergraduate student Haruka Yonezawa (School of Letters) and graduate student Tresnaningrum Dewiputri (OSIPP) pledged to do their best.

Next, President Toshio Hirano delivered an address stating, "You will be the stars when Osaka University celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2031. With your strong support, Osaka University is sure to realize its dream of becoming, as the World Tekijuku, one of the top 10 universities in the world!"
