OU student team wins second place in the University Venture Grand Prix (UVGP) 2013

On Sunday, December 22, last year, Osaka University's student team CODDRESS won Second Place in the University Venture Grand Prix 2013 held at Waseda University under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

The Japan Entrepreneurship Education Network for Higher Education screened business plans presented by undergraduate and graduate schools offering entrepreneur education. In the end, nine teams competed against each other after being selected from more than 100 entries, and CODDRESS, winning second place in the final review, was awarded the TOMODACHI Award . As an additional award, the team will have an opportunity to go to Silicon Valley to make presentations to venture capitalists.

On Monday, January 20, the members of CODDRESS and their supervisor, TAKABE Hideaki , Professor, Institute of Laser Engineering, reported on the second place result to President Toshio HIRANO. President Hirano congratulated them and expressed his appreciation.
