Regarding 2012 Summer Energy Saving Plan

In response to requests from the government and Kansai Electric Power Co. (KEPCO), Osaka University implemented a 2012 Summer Energy Saving Plan with specific goals and steps for reducing energy use. However, after the restart of Reactor #4 at Kansai Electric's Oi nuclear power station, the energy saving goals proposed by the government and KEPCO were revised downward by 10% on July 25 based on the consumption level of 2010. (Please note, this revision by the government and KEPCO depends upon smooth functioning of the restarted reactors.)

Osaka University revised its goals and published a revised plan earlier this month.

To view electricity consumption at major buildings on the campus and energy saving goals, the Electricity Consumption Visualization System is helpful. You can view current data here.
