New Screening methods will be introduced from 2013 Entrance Exam

Osaka University will introduce the following screening methods from the 2013-14 academic year in order to promote student diversity.

School of Science

New screening methods will be introduced from 2013 Entrance Examination. For more information, click here.

  • There will be changes in the quota and screening methods. Applications for the first stage of general screening will be accepted from two divisions: general quota and special quota. In order to accept students who are not satisfied with absorbing given knowledge, but are eager to pursue the truth by thinking for themselves, a special quota will be set up.

A New Admission Office Entrance Examination for Encouraging Research will be introduced. For more information, click here.

  • As a new screening method to accept individuals who are willing to learn through experiments and who conducted outstanding research in senior high school, an Admission Office Entrance Examination for Encouraging Research will be introduced.

Schools of Science, Engineering, and Engineering Science

  • A new Admission Office Entrance Examination jointly sponsored by the Schools of Science, Engineering, and Engineering Science will be introduced. For more information, click here.
  • The School of Science alone has implemented Screening for Students Joining the International Physics Olympiad as Representatives of Japan. Application eligibility and schools accepting such students will be expanded. An Admission Office Entrance Examination for students joining International Science Olympiad as Representatives of Japan will be introduced as a new system for the Schools of Science, Engineering, and Engineering Science.
