The 2011 Entrance Ceremony held -- Osaka University

The 2011 Entrance Ceremony was held at Osaka Jo Hall on Wednesday, April 6th.

3,555 undergraduate students and 2,972 graduate students enrolled in Osaka University.

MINAMIZONO Shinya of School of Pharmaceutical Sciences and KITA Takuto of Graduate School of Engineering took the oath on behalf of all the new students.

President WASHIDA Kiyokazu delivered an address of welcome. In his greetings, he entreated them, " If you would precisely grasp the world and go on to weave great dreams, you must lift your eyes from the small world around you. "

Following the president's speech, deans of undergraduate and graduate schools were introduced, the university's mixed chorus sang the Osaka University Student Song, the male choir celebrated with Stunz's Frie Kunst , and a brief orientation was presented through a general explanation of student life.

Wrapping up the ceremony, the university cheerleading group gave a round of cheers for the new students.
