Framework Plan for Barrier-free Design and Sign System at Osaka University

Osaka University has disclosed its Framework Plan for Barrier-free Design and Sign System as a sub-plan within the Osaka University Campus Master Plan , indicating the whole idea of campus layout and its direction.

The original Framework Plan for Barrier-free Design and Sign System was intended for the campuses of Suita and Toyonaka. This time, surveys, plans, and guidelines for signs for buildings and more on the Minoh Campus have been added to the original plan and it has been revised with the name changed to Framework Plan for Barrier-free Design and Sign System at Osaka University.

Based on this policy, while responding flexibly to individual requirements, Osaka University will improve its campuses, making them more accessible to all members of the public. By doing so people, including the elderly, children, foreigners, and people with auditory, visual, or physical challenges, will be able to get around on the campuses more easily on foot, by bicycle, car, or wheelchair thanks to new signs on the campuses.
