Extracurricular Student Clubs & Circles are requested to Refrain from Recruitment Activities following Entrance Ceremony

This year's Entrance Ceremony is scheduled for Monday, April 5 at Osaka Jo Hall .

Typically in past years, members of Osaka University's extracurricular clubs and circles gather outside the place where the Entrance Ceremony is being held and engage in recruitment activities for their group as the new students leave the ceremony. However, as noted above, this year's Entrance Ceremony is being held at Osaka Jo Hall. As you may be aware, the entrance/exit area of Osaka Jo Hall is not particularly spacious; moreover, there are a series of steps leading down. Such being the case, if student groups attempt to engage in recruitment activities as new students leave, this entire area and the steps will become dangerously crowded. Consequently, this year all student groups are strictly forbidden from engaging in any sort of recruitment activities in the Entrance Ceremony entrance/exit area of Osaka Jo Hall .

Additionally, because Osaka Jo Hall is located within Osaka Jo Koen [Osaka Castle Park] and the park will already have many persons in it enjoying the cherry blossoms, attempting to engage in recruitment activities within the park will be a nuisance to many citizens and create ill will.

In light of the above situation and reasons outlined above for such a request, all extracurricular student groups, as well as unofficial groups, are strongly requested to refrain from any sort of recruitment activities following the Entrance Ceremony this year . We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in advance.
