Senior Associate Provost for International Affairs from Yale University, USA, Visited UOsaka on October 1, 2026

On October 1, 2026, a delegation led by Brendan Walsh, Senior Associate Provost for International Affairs at Yale University, visited the Center for Quantum Information and Quantum Biology (QIQB).
Among those participating in the discussions were Executive Vice President MIYAMOTO Yoichi of UOsaka; and Director KITAGAWA Masahiro, Deputy Directors YAMAMOTO Takashi and MIZUKAMI Wataru, Specially Appointed Professor OKAMURA Yasuyuki, Associate Professor MIYAMOTO Koichi, and Specially Appointed Associate Professor HAKOSHIMA Hideaki of QIQB.

Participants engaged in productive discussions on advancing international joint research and fostering exchanges among early-career researchers, with a particular focus on quantum science. Both sides agreed to pursue the development of concrete collaborative initiatives in the future.

After the discussion session, the delegation was given a tour of the QIQB and received explanations about its research facilities and initiatives, including quantum computers.
