Rector of Bielefeld University, Germany, visited UOsaka on June 18, 2026

On Thursday, June 18, 2026, a delegation headed by Rector Angelika Epple of Bielefeld University, a Global Knowledge Partner, paid a courtesy visit to President Atsushi KUMANOGOH and Executive Vice President Mikako HAYASHI at the University of Osaka.
From UOsaka, Kenji MATSUNO, Director of European Center for Academic Initiatives, Institute for International Initiatives, and Professor Kohsuke HONDA of the International Center for Biotechnology, Professor Takashi HAYASHI of the Graduate School of Engineering attended the meeting.
After the introduction of the University of Osaka, the participants engaged in lively discussions on the further development of student and researcher exchanges, as well as international collaborative research.
Following the courtesy visit, the delegation visited the International Center for Biotechnology.
