UOsaka’s Support Measures for Changes in U.S. Government Policy
Due to sudden policy changes by the U.S. government, such as the suspension of international student admissions, many international students and researchers are finding it difficult to continue their studies and research activities in universities and colleges. In response to this situation, the University of Osaka has decided to temporarily host those affected by providing an environment where they can continue their studies and research without interruption.
1. Eligibility
In principle, international students or researchers enrolled in U.S. universities who are associated with the University of Osaka.
*Please note that there are cases in which we may not be able to accept you depending on the research field or other conditions.
2. Acceptance period
As soon as preparations are complete - until March 31, 2026
*May be extended as necessary.
3. Status at the University of Osaka
Students: As non-regular students
Researchers: As researchers
4. Support
- Guarantee of your status as UOsaka international students/researchers
- Tuition fee exemption (students only)
- Support for the procedures required for traveling to Japan
- Offering Information regarding your stay in Japan, etc.
5. Acceptance Procedures
