U7+ activity report: Presidential Summit 2026

Participation in the 2026 U7+ Presidential Summit held from April 14 to 15, 2026

The 2026 U7+ Presidential Summit of the U7+, a multilateral consortium of universities of which UOsaka is a member, was held on April 14 and 15, 2026. It was jointly hosted by three French universities: École Polytechnique, Sciences Po, and Université Paris Cité. Representatives from 37 universities in 14 countries, drawn from the U7+ membership of 48 universities across 19 countries, participated in the summit. Under the theme “Revisiting the Social Role of Universities in a Changing World,” the leaders from each university engaged in lively discussions. UOsaka was represented by MOCHIZUKI Mayumi, Associate Professor at the Institute for International Initiatives.
