(OUICP-S) Global Frontiers in Japan

Program Overview

The aim of this program is for participating students to deepen their knowledge in their own fields of expertise and broaden their perspective on collaboration with other academic and social fields through globally cutting-edge phenomena (frontiers) that can be observed, experienced, and learned about in Japan. The frontiers covered in this program include not only scientific technology but also social issues and efforts to address them.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Understand Japanese society and social issues
  • Acquire new knowledge and skills through observation and experience of cutting-edge phenomena in Japan
  • Be able to reflect on their own involvement in specific SDGs
  • Develop a clearer picture of their career paths
