[NEWS] Post-arrival Orientation for OUICP-S Students
On May 1, 2026, a post-arrival orientation was held for OUICP-S students. A total of 12 students participating in the "Global Frontiers in Japan" and "Frontier Engineering" programs began their studies at the University of Osaka. Staff from the Department of International Affairs explained the procedures for starting their study abroad program, while faculty members from the Institute for International Initiatives and senior students currently studying under the OUICP program shared information about campus life. Following the orientation, the group visited the Information Room for International Students (IRIS) at the Center for International Education and Exchange, where they learned about student exchange activities at the university.
[Thailand] Visit to Mahidol University
On April 23, 2026, Mikako HAYASHI (Executive Vice President of the University of Osaka), Kiyoshi FUJITA (Director of the ASEAN Center for Academic Initiatives), and Sathida Kanjamapornkul (Specially Appointed Assistant Professor), visited Mahidol University, an ASEAN campus member institution. During a meeting held at the university's Salaya Campus with Vice President Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti and international collaboration staff, the two sides exchanged views on educational and research exchanges through double degree programs and joint symposiums between the two universities.
[NEWS] University Explanatory Session & Career Counselling Session Held for OUICP Students
On April 16, 2026, “Introduction to The University of Osaka for OUICP Students: Thinking about future career in the ASEAN Campus network” was held for students who are currently in Japan under the Osaka University International Certificate Program (OUICP).
This event was designed to provide students with an opportunity to consider their future careers by introducing graduate programs at the University of Osaka, sharing testimonials from current students, and offering consultations from faculty members. Eleven students participated on the day of the event, and they actively exchanged opinions and information in groups.
