Promoting Communication via O+PUS
Osaka University has the campus-wide image-sharing system O+PUS designed to facilitate information flow among Osaka University community members and large high-definition monitors of are installed on its campuses. Through this system, OU promotes information sharing between students, as well as dissemination of student-created content and internal information from the university.
What is O+PUS -- Osaka University plus Panasonic Universal Sight?
On June 1, 2009, 14 large video monitors donated by Panasonic Corporation were installed at pivotal hubs on Osaka University's campuses. This number has grown to 30 video monitors installed on Osaka University campuses as of October 2022.
In addition to notifications from the university, students-initiated movies, full HD videos, and videos of events that attract students’ interest and motivate them to join are broadcast.
OU will cultivate intelligence and sensitivity in students by improving image literacy education using O+PUS.
