A student from Osaka University tested positive for COVID-19 on October 22.
Details of the affected student’s activity are as follows:
The student developed a fever on Saturday, October 17, and olfactory impairment on Tuesday, October 20. The student tested positive for COVID-19 via a PCR test on Thursday, October 22.
The affected student, who is currently being treated at a hotel, has not attended school for an extended period of time due to school closure.
3 other OU students were identified as high-risk contacts, but PCR tests for the 3 students came back negative for COVID-19.
