Ageing and dementia are grand challenges facing the world. In both Japan and the United Kingdom, industry, academia, government and civil society are working together to address these shared challenges.
At this symposium, Professor Gill Livingston of University College London (UCL), a world-leading authority on dementia research, will deliver a keynote lecture on 14 modifiable risk factors starting in childhood and continuing throughout life. The symposium will also introduce the latest advances by the University of Osaka and UCL in cutting-edge research on dementia prevention, treatment, intervention and care.
Bringing together diverse stakeholders to share knowledge and perspectives, the symposium will explore the future of international collaboration and its implementation in society, with the aim of realising healthy ageing and an inclusive society where people can live safely and with dignity alongside dementia.
