A commemorative lecture will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2026, to honor Distinguished Honorary Professor Shimon Sakaguchi's Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Professor Sakaguchi will give a lecture on how regulatory T cells function and how their discovery leads to disease treatment. There will also be a session with President Atsushi Kumanogoh. Learning about the mechanisms of the immune system will provide an opportunity to reflect more deeply on our health.

This lecture by Professor Sakaguchi, hosted by the University of Osaka and open to the public, will be his first since winning the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. We look forward to your participation.
