Institute of Laser Engineering Matrix Co-Creation Promotion Center -- Seminars on “Energy, the Anthropocene, Environment” (6 Seminars in Total)

A series of 6 Seminars on “Energy, the Anthropocene, Environment” will be held at the Matrix Co-Creation Promotion Center of the Institute of Laser Engineering, Osaka University as part of international collaborative interdisciplinary research. These seminars will be held in English in a hybrid format (both online and on-site).

The lecturers for this seminar series include Professor Bao Maohong of Peking University, a leading expert on environmental history in Asia, and Professor John R. McNeill of Georgetown University, a global historian and authority on American environmental history. We will be discussing the significance and challenges of energy problems facing humankind, including the development of laser fusion, a field in which Osaka University takes much pride.

Those who are interested are welcome to participate. Let’s think together about global environmental issues and energy from Osaka.
