The School of Foreign Studies’ Gogekisai Word Play Festival 2023 will be held on December 9 and 10.
Overview
Gogekisai Word Play Festival is a traditional festival, which started in the days when Osaka University’s School of Foreign Studies was known as Osaka University of Foreign Studies and has lasted up to the present day.
This student-initiated festival is held every year under the auspices of Sakuyakai, the alumni association of the School of Foreign Studies.
This year again, students from each major at the School of Foreign Studies who have been practicing and preparing since the summer will perform a play in a language they are learning.
Since all performances will be presented with Japanese subtitles, viewers can enjoy the plays even if they don’t know the languages.
No reservations are required and entry is free, so anyone can attend. We hope you’ll join us.

Showtimes
Performances will be shown in 21 languages for 15~90 minutes each. You can enter and leave the venue at any time. For more information, please download the list of showtimes below.
