The Autumn Graduation Ceremony will be held as shown below.
All graduating students are welcome to attend the ceremony.

Autumn Graduation Ceremony

Date and Time: September 22 (Thu.), 2022, 10:30 a.m.

Doors Open: 9:30 a.m.

Venue: Osaka University Convention Center (Suita Campus)

Graduating students: MO Hall on the 3rd floor (Main venue)

Guests: Training Room and Conference Room 1 on the 1st floor (Satellite venues)

Osaka University Convention Center (Building #2, Suita Campus)

・Due to the current COVID-19 situation, prior registration is required for graduating students to participate in the ceremony. To ensure smooth entrance to the venue, be sure to register before arriving and have your screen ready before lining up at the reception. Staff will check the registration confirmation screen before the ceremony. Further information can be found in the announcement made on August 31 (Mon.) on KOAN.

・Each graduating student may bring one guest. Please come with your guest to the reception area to check in.

・To prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection, guests will not be able to enter MO Hall. Guests will watch the livestream at the Training Room or Conference Room 1.

・Entry to the venue may be denied after the ceremony begins.

・The ceremony will be livestreamed. Please be aware that participants may be filmed.

・Parking is not available. Please refrain from coming by car.

・Depending on the COVID-19 situation, ceremony details are subject to change.

Important Notes Regarding COVID-19

We ask all participants to take measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, such as wearing a mask, observing cough etiquette, disinfecting hands, refraining from loud conversations, and observing social distancing, etc.

You may not participate in the ceremony if any of the following statuses apply to you.

・Those who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are undergoing medical treatment.

・Those who are in quarantine due to coming in close contact with an infected person.

・Those who have visited countries/regions that require a self-isolation period after entry to Japan.

Be sure to take your temperature in the morning and refrain from attending the ceremony if you have cold-like symptoms (fatigue, sore throat, cough) or have a fever over 37.5℃. Temperature checks will also be conducted at the entrance of the venue. Your admission will be refused if you have a fever over 37.5℃ at that time.

Please remain in your seat while taking photos during the ceremony.

Please cooperate in entering and exiting the venue promptly before and after the ceremony to prevent the spread of infection.

Installing the COVID-19 Contact-Confirming Application (COCOA)

We ask all participants to install COCOA, the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare’s official contact-tracing app, before the graduation ceremony. Bring a device on which COCOA is installed and show the app’s screen at reception.

Be sure to check that the device can be installed on your phone*. Depending on the model/OS, you may not be able to install the app.

If you don’t have a smartphone or you are using an older model, please let us know at reception.

*The app may only be installed on Japanese smartphones and downloaded in Japan. If you do not have a Japanese smartphone, please let us know at reception.

Livestreaming will be available

A notice with a link to this page has already been posted to KOAN.

Please be sure to share the link with family and friends who wish to view the event.

The ceremony will be livestreamed. Please be aware that participants may be filmed.

Information regarding the graduation ceremony will be regularly updated on KOAN. A recording of the livestream will be available for one month after the ceremony.
