Financial support and scholarships before April 2014 (during the Global 30 Project)
(1) Osaka University Scholarship
Students with outstanding grades were eligible to receive a monthly stipend of 80,000 JPY until graduation (subject to change).

Chemistry-Biology Combined Major Program: 6 students
* The number of eligible students was subject to change each year, from FY 2010~11 to FY 2013~14.
(2) Tuition fee waiver (special system during the Global 30 Project)
This special tuition fee waiver was available for new students during the Global 30 Project, through March 2014. Accepted students received a full tuition waiver through graduation (subject to change).

Chemistry-Biology Combined Major Program: 25 students

(3) MEXT Scholarship (Japanese Government Scholarship)
A monthly stipend of 80,000 JPY was provided to accepted MEXT Scholarship International Students (Japanese Government Scholarship International Students) for one year after their enrollment at Osaka University.

Human Sciences International Undergraduate Degree Program: 4 students
Chemistry-Biology Combined Major Program: 12 students
* The figures above are the total numbers of recipients in each program from FY 2010~11 to FY 2013~14. This scholarship terminated with the end of Global 30 Project on 31 March 2014.
(4) Honors Scholarship for Privately Financed International Students provided by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO)
A scholarship to support international students which awards a monthly stipend of 48,000 JPY to recipients. Please refer to JASSO’s website (Japanese only) for the details.

Chemistry-Biology Combined Major Program: 18 students
* This scholarship has been scaled back due to the termination of the Global 30 Project. Starting in April 2014, Osaka University can recommend one student from each of the above undergraduate programs.
