Entrance Examination for the International Undergraduate Program in Science (IUPS)

The School of Science at Osaka University has carried out the Entrance Examination for IUPS since the 2021 academic year (for admission in April 2021).

Overview

The Departments of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry accept applications for IUPS. In the first year and a half of this undergraduate program, students will take general education primarily conducted in English and Japanese language courses offered by the Center for International Education and Exchange to further improve their Japanese language ability . From the second half of the program, in their second year, students will take major subjects, which are primarily conducted in Japanese with Japanese students, to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Screening : April ~ June

Notification of Results : June ~ July

Japanese Language Training : October ~ March of the following year

Entrance to OU : April of the following year
