Special entrance examinations for privately-funded international undergraduate students living overseas

Currently, Osaka University is implementing two types of special entrance examination, designed for privately-funded undergraduate international students residing outside Japan. Special features of these entrance examinations are that applicants will not be required to come to Japan to take examinations including the EJU(Examination for Japanese University admission for International Students) and can be accepted through document screening (An interview may be conducted in China, Korea, Vietnam or Thailand as needed) , and that the applicants achieving outstanding performance will be granted priority on receipt of financial assistance and/or entrance into on-campus dormitories. This examination is designed for applicants who do not have Japanese nationality.

Special Entrance Examination for Privately-Funded International Students Living Overseas

Intended for : individuals who live overseas (outside Japan) and have received school education overseas (outside Japan) and have Japanese Language Proficiency Test Grade N1, N2, or equivalent. Individuals who passed this examination will take part in the preliminary and extensive Japanese education program before enrolling in Osaka University.

Special Entrance Examination for International Undergraduate Program in Science

The School of Science will hold the Special Entrance Examination for International Undergraduate Program in Science from the 2021-2022 academic year. In accordance with this change, the Special Entrance Examination for Privately-Funded Undergraduate International Students Living Overseas for the School of Science will be discontinued . In line with this, the 2020-2021 examination (admission in April 2020) will be the last time the Special Entrance Examination for Privately-Funded Undergraduate International Students Living Overseas for School of Science is held.
